  1. ***********  Welcome to the Demo release of QuickText ***************
  2.  
  3. QuickText is an interactive desktop video program designed 
  4. to easily develop and display almost any type of graphic screen, 
  5. including titles and credits, pictures, and even animations.
  6. Other features include full ARexx support, auto screen sequencing, 
  7. on-screen timer, text and numeric variables, a recordable/replayable 
  8. "doodler", and an easy-to-use point-and-click interface.  
  9. "QT" works on any Amiga with Workbench 1.2 or higher, and requires Ruby 
  10. and Diamond fonts which are included in all releases of WorkBench.
  11.  
  12. Well-suited for silent paging, on-line video, and cable reader boards.

  15. RUNNING the DEMO:
  16.    
  17.         HARD DRIVE:
  18.                 Boot up as usual.
  19.                 Place Demo disk in DF0:
  20.                 Click twice on "QTDemo" icon
  21.                 Click twice on "QTDemo" icon in window
  22.                 (of course, the demo will also run from the 
  23.                   hard drive if decompressed there...)
  24.  
  25.         TWO FLOPPY DRIVES:
  26.                 Place bootable disk in DF0:
  27.                 Boot up as usual
  28.                 Place Demo disk in DF1:
  29.                 Click twice on "QTDemo" icon
  30.                 Click twice on "QTDemo" icon in window
  31.         
  32.         SINGLE FLOPPY DRIVE and/or LESS THAN 1 MEG RAM:
  33.                 We recommend you phone (916) 542-0873. 
  34.                 We will mail you a disk for S & H as listed below.

  37. This demo contains "QTPlayer" and a large file (broken into 
  38. seven parts for the benefit of those with half-meg machines).  
  39. As each section is completed, the player will automatically
  40. load the next section, and will return to Workbench after 
  41. the last screen is shown.

  43. Some keys are active during the Demo.
  44. The Demo will tell you about some others besides these:
  45.  
  46.         Space Bar   =  Pause or Un-pause
  47.         Left Arrow  =  Back-up one screen
  48.         Right Arrow =  Forward one screen
  49.         Esc         =  Quit (returns to Workbench)
  50.         
  51.  Please try the interactive demos when invited to do so.
